About the Journal

Journal of Petroleum and Mining (JPM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published biannually by the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, University of Mosul. It publishes original research, review articles, and technical papers in petroleum engineering, refining, mining, mineral processing, geology, and related disciplines. The journal’s mission is to advance scientific knowledge and promote innovation by providing a platform for researchers, engineers, and professionals to share their findings.

Focus and Scope

The journal covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

• Petroleum exploration, drilling, and production engineering
• Refining and petrochemical processes
• Mining engineering and mineral processing
• Geology and geophysics
• Environmental aspects of petroleum and mining industries
• Energy resources and sustainable technologies

Open Access Policy

JPM provides immediate open access to its content, supporting the global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

The Journal of Petroleum and Mining (JPM) is published under the auspices of the University of Mosul, College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering. The journal is currently fully funded by the University, allowing authors to publish without fees.
