About the Journal


Journal of Petroleum and Mining (JPM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published biannually by the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, University of Mosul. It publishes original research, review articles, and technical papers in petroleum engineering, refining, mining, mineral processing, geology, and related disciplines. The journal’s mission is to advance scientific knowledge and promote innovation by providing a platform for researchers, engineers, and professionals to share their findings.

Focus and Scope

The journal covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Petroleum exploration, drilling, and production engineering
  • Refining and petrochemical processes
